This Privacy Policy explains how Pan handles information when you use our website and services.
1. Information We Collect
When you use Pan, we may collect information that you provide directly, such as your name, email address, account information, CV information, cover letters, job preferences, and other information you choose to add to your profile or resume.
We may also collect technical information such as browser type, device information, IP address, and information about how you interact with our website.
We keep a record of the job application emails that Pan sends on your behalf (the company, date, and time), so that you can review them in your account.
2. Google Account and Gmail Access
Pan allows you to connect your Google account through Google OAuth so that Pan can send job application emails to employers on your behalf, from your own Gmail address.
2.1 How we use your Gmail account
Pan uses your connected Gmail account for one single purpose: sending job application emails to employers on your behalf. These emails are sent from your own Gmail address and include a cover letter and your CV (PDF). Pan sends emails only after you have connected your Gmail account and explicitly consented to this feature. Pan notifies you inside the platform of every email sent, and each email also appears in the "Sent" folder of your Gmail account.
2.2 Your control
- You can pause or disable sending at any time from your Pan account.
- You can disconnect your Gmail account from Pan at any time.
- You can revoke Pan's access from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
2.3 Permissions we request
-
Gmail Send
(
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send): allows Pan to send job application emails on your behalf. This is the only Gmail permission Pan requests. -
OpenID and Email (
openid, email): allow Pan to identify which Google account you connected. These permissions do not give access to your Gmail mailbox.
2.4 What Pan does not do
- Pan does not read, list, search, or download your emails, threads, drafts, or attachments.
- Pan does not modify, label, archive, or delete any email in your account.
- Pan does not access your Gmail contacts, Google Drive, calendar, or any other Google service.
- Pan administrators have no access to your Gmail inbox.
2.5 Information we store
Pan stores your Google email address, your Google account identifier, and the OAuth access and refresh tokens required to send emails on your behalf. These are used only to provide the email sending feature. When you disconnect Gmail, the stored tokens are deleted.
2.6 Sharing
Pan does not sell Google user data and does not use it for advertising. Google user data is not shared with third parties except as necessary to provide the feature you requested, to comply with applicable law, or to protect the security of the service.
2.7 Limited Use disclosure
The use of raw or derived user data received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Pan uses Google user data only to send the job application emails described above. Pan does not use, transfer, or sell Google user data to create, train, or improve generalized or foundational artificial intelligence or machine learning models, does not use it for advertising, and does not allow humans to read it unless you give explicit consent, it is necessary for security purposes, or it is required to comply with applicable law.
3. How We Use Information
We may use collected information to:
- Create and manage your Pan account.

- Authenticate your account.
- Improve the functionality and security of the platform.
- Communicate with you about your account or our services.

4. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
When Pan sends a job application on your behalf, the email, including your cover letter and CV, is delivered to the employer you are applying to.
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the platform, such as hosting, infrastructure, authentication, security, or other services necessary to provide Pan.
We may also disclose information when required by applicable law, legal process, or to protect the rights, security, and integrity of Pan and its users.
5. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
However, no method of transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
6. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
7. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including requesting access, correction, or deletion.
You may also stop using Pan, pause sending, disconnect Gmail, or revoke Google permissions through your Google Account settings at any time.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Pan may use cookies or similar technologies to maintain sessions, remember preferences, improve security, and understand how the service is used.
9. Children's Privacy
Pan is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to independently use online services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable requirements.
