1. About Pan

Pan is an online platform that provides tools and services for creating, managing, and presenting professional CVs and related career information.

Pan also lets you connect your Gmail account so that Pan can send job application emails (a cover letter together with your CV as a PDF attachment) to employers on your behalf, from your own Gmail address.

2. Eligibility

You may use Pan only if you are legally permitted to enter into an agreement under the laws applicable to you.

By using Pan, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activities performed through your account.

You should notify Pan if you believe that your account has been accessed without authorization.

4. User Content

You retain responsibility for the information, CVs, documents, images, cover letters, and other content that you upload or create through Pan, including the content of job application emails sent on your behalf.

You agree not to upload or publish content that violates applicable law, infringes another person's rights, or is fraudulent, harmful, or abusive.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use Pan for unlawful purposes.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform or another user's account.
Interfere with the security or operation of the service.
Upload malicious code or harmful content.
Use the platform to impersonate another person.
Use the email feature to send spam, deceptive, or abusive content.
Abuse or exploit any feature of the service.

6. Google Services and Gmail Permissions

Pan integrates with Google services so that you can connect your Gmail account and let Pan send job application emails on your behalf. Your use of Google services is also subject to Google's applicable terms and policies.

6.1 What we use your Gmail account for

Pan uses your connected Gmail account for one single purpose: sending job application emails to employers on your behalf. These emails are sent from your own Gmail address and include a cover letter and your CV (PDF). Pan sends emails only after you have connected your Gmail account and explicitly consented to this feature. Pan notifies you inside the platform of every email sent, and each email also appears in the "Sent" folder of your Gmail account.

6.2 Your control

You can pause or disable sending at any time from your Pan account.
You can disconnect your Gmail account from Pan at any time.
You can revoke Pan's access from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

6.3 Permissions (scopes) we request

Gmail Send (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send): allows Pan to send job application emails on your behalf. This is the only Gmail permission Pan requests.
OpenID and Email (openid, email): allow Pan to identify which Google account you connected. These permissions do not give access to your Gmail mailbox.

6.4 What Pan does NOT do

Read, search, list, or download your emails, threads, drafts, or attachments.
Modify, label, archive, or delete any email in your account.
Access your contacts, calendar, Google Drive, or any other Google service.
Allow Pan administrators to read your mailbox. Administrators have no access to your Gmail inbox.

6.5 Information we store

Pan stores your Google email address, your Google account identifier, and the OAuth tokens needed to send emails on your behalf, only to provide this feature. When you disconnect Gmail, the stored tokens are deleted.

6.6 Google API Services User Data Policy (Limited Use)

Pan's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

The use of raw or derived user data received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Pan uses Google user data only to send the job application emails described above. Pan does not use, transfer, or sell Google user data to create, train, or improve generalized or foundational artificial intelligence or machine learning models, does not use it for advertising, and does not allow humans to read it unless you give explicit consent, it is necessary for security purposes, or it is required to comply with applicable law.

7. Intellectual Property

Pan and its original software, branding, design, features, and other platform materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit Pan's proprietary materials except where permitted by law or with our written permission.

8. Service Availability

We aim to keep Pan available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at every time.

We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes to the platform when necessary.

9. Account Suspension or Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to an account if we reasonably believe that the account is being used in violation of these Terms, applicable law, or to protect the security and integrity of the platform.

You may stop using Pan at any time.

10. Disclaimer

Pan is provided on an "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we make no guarantee that the service will meet every individual requirement or be completely free of errors.

Pan does not guarantee that an employer will receive, read, or respond to an email sent through the platform, or that you will be offered a job.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pan and its operators will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from the use of the service.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Updated terms will be published on this page and the "Last updated" date will be changed.
